A few weeks ago Brent Ozar laid out his “crazy idea” for doing a free online conference that he has named “GroupBy”. I didn’t have a ton of spare time to do so, but I whipped up a new abstract to show people some great ways to use the new SQL PowerShell cmdlets & improvements that happened in 2016. I’m happy to say that session was picked for the lineup of the inaugural GroupBy Conference.
I’m also happy to say that another PowerShell session was also picked, “SQL Server and PowerShell: Let’s Get Serious” by Drew Furgiuele ( b | t ). Considering that only the top 13 sessions were picked for this GroupBy event, it’s great that two of the highest-voted sessions were about SQL Server + PowerShell! J
