Atlanta PowerShell User Group June Meeting

Please come join us for our fourth meeting :-)

Note: Due to a scheduling conflict with the hosting facility our meeting this week is being held NEXT WEEK, a week later than normal.

When: Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 6 pm
Where: 211 Perimeter Center Parkway, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30346
How: Please RSVP so we can get a head count
What:  People from all over Atlanta getting together to talk PowerShell [Profiles]

Our June meeting will be all about PowerShell Profiles. Mark Schill will be demoing his profile. Some of the key concepts that he will be covering include:

– aliases
– one-liner functions
– other functions
– setting prompt
– env vars (environmental variables)
– "configuring your environment"
– sync/roam across machines
– modular (dot-source or import) vs monolithic (all in one file)

If you have any cool tips/tricks that you use in your profile and would like to share, email them to Mark.Schill@cmschill.net.

For the second half of the meeting you will be working on and discussing your own profiles so make sure to print your profiles and collaborate with your colleagues.

Again, please RSVP so we can get a head count.  We currently do not have access to the site’s computers so bring your laptop if you can.

  1. Tee hee…your map says “Dunwoody” 🙂

Sounds like a very informative presentation. Next step is to get it on LiveMeeting so us out-of-towners may partake.
